1. Veterans Social Center
The 2700 square foot facility opened on 18 April 2022. We provide a free and safe place of comfort and relaxation where Veterans can come to socialize with other Veterans while enjoying ping-pong and pool tables, Xbox video games, a flight simulator, chess and checker boards, several large flat screen TV's for viewing premium movies and sports events, and receive information on relevant services to aid in personal care and growth.
On Saturdays, we feed a full meal to all Veterans who are in the facility. The Center also serves as a mini museum full of personal military artifacts and memorabilia.
2. Veteran’s Mental Health
Serve as a resource, referral source and conduit to assist Veterans in crisis to identify and access needed mental health services.
3. Consumer Advocacy
Assist residents with any needs involving a consumer complaint, a healthcare visit, or grievance with an entity such as police, education or a city/county government municipality.
4. Diversity & Inclusion Training, Education and Advocacy
In partnership with Board Member, Dr. Deanna Stewart and her organization, Stewart Diversity Consultants, we will serve as an ally, a resource, and an advocate for underrepresented and marginalized populations in an effort to decrease racial and ethnic inequities within communities, businesses, and organizations.
The areas of focus will include training and education sessions on Racial Trauma Recovery, Microaggressions & Implicit Bias training , Anti-racism & Allyship Education and Organizational Culture Assessments.
Stewart Diversity Consultants will advocate for those individuals and communities that can’t or don’t have the tools and resources to demand equity and justice for themselves
